ICYMI: Hinson and AMNC President David Londo discuss No FAMS at the Border Act
Washington, D.C. - As part of her virtual conversation series, "On the Record," Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) and Air Marshal National Council (AMNC) President David Londo discussed Rep. Hinson's No FAMS at the Border Act.
The Biden Administration has diverted a record number of Federal Air Marshals (FAMS) to the Southern Border to perform administrative duties, leaving Americans unguarded on commercial flights. Hinson and Londo discussed the safety concerns posed by diverting Federal Air Marshals to the Southern Border, the current shortage of Federal Air Marshals, and the importance of keeping Federal Air Marshals in the sky. |

"You have to remember for every one air marshal we pull out of the sky, that's a flight uncovered. That's a flight that Americans are taking during the holiday season, during this Easter season, that are completely uncovered. It's unbelievable," said AMNC President Londo during the conversation. "Our air marshals have had enough of it, to be honest with you. Our air marshals are so supportive of you, Representative Hinson, and this bill."
"We want to prohibit the administration from deploying you all to the border," said Hinson during the conversation. "You should be in the air doing your job unless Secretary Mayorkas is actually willing to certify that the situation at our southern border is indeed a crisis – which they have yet to actually acknowledge."
