Washington, D.C. — Yesterday, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) joined Congressman Dusty Johnson (SD-AL) to introduce the bipartisan Fertilizer Transparency Act to give American farmers access to timely and accurate information on fertilizer prices. Specifically, this bill would require the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to collect and publish data on fertilizer prices from manufacturers on a weekly basis. Currently, USDA conducts an annual voluntary survey on the prices that producers pay for inputs.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) reintroduced two pieces of legislation aimed at ensuring women 18 and up can access over-the-counter birth control at their nearest local pharmacy, as well as improving birth control options for adult women in rural areas. 

These measures would improve access to safe, effective, FDA-approved birth control options for adult women.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) introduced the End Special Treatment for Congress at Airports Act, which would require Members of Congress to undergo the same Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screening procedures as all other airline passengers and prohibit the use of federal funds to provide U.S. Senators and House members with expedited or preferential access at airport security checkpoints. 

The legislation, led by U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), passed the Senate unanimously on Friday, March 20.
