Hinson Applauds Passage of CARS Act

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) released the following statement following the passage of the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act of 2023, legislation that will prevent President Joe Biden's electric vehicle rule from taking effect. 

“Forcing American families to buy electric vehicles they don't want and can't afford is government overreach at its worst. Additionally, Biden's electric vehicle agenda boosts China's economy and enables slave labor while hurting American auto workers and dragging our economy down. Instead of forcing regular Americans to buy electric vehicles, maybe Biden should stop letting his 'climate czar' fly around the world on private jets while preaching about green fantasies. I was proud to co-sponsor and vote for the CARS Act to push back on the Biden Administration's out of touch electric vehicle obsession and preserve consumer choice." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
