Hinson Co-Leads Legislation to Block the Chinese Communist Party from Buying American Farmland

WASHINGTON –  Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-WA-04) in introducing the Prohibition of Agricultural Land for the People's Republic of China Act. This bill would prohibit the purchase of American agricultural land by foreign nationals associated with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
 
“The Chinese Communist Party has been strategically buying up U.S. farmland – including near military bases – threatening our agriculture industry, our food supply, and our national security. The CCP shouldn't be able to buy another acre of U.S. farmland and I'm proud to help lead this effort to block them from doing so."
