Hinson, Colleagues Call on President Biden to Take Action Following Cyberattacks

June 29, 2021

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) joined her colleagues in sending a letter to President Biden, urging his Administration to acknowledge the national security threat posed by cyberattacks, including the recent ransomware attack against JBS Pork, and take steps to prevent such attacks against the U.S.

"The recent JBS Pork ransomware attack should be yet another wake-up call to the Biden Administration. This attack on our food supply chain, in addition to other recent cyberattacks, poses a serious and growing threat to our national security that must be proactively addressed. We shouldn’t just wait for the next attack—we have to put our adversaries on notice that any attempt to undermine the U.S. will not be tolerated.” -Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
