Hinson: Don't Let Pelosi Overturn Will of Iowa Voters
Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following video statement once again urging Speaker Nancy Pelosi to confirm publicly to Iowa voters that she will not overturn the results of the IA-02 election.
Voters elect their representatives, not Congress. If Speaker Pelosi overturns @RepMMM's victory in #IA02, she will be the ultimate hypocrite. @SpeakerPelosi, will you go on the record and promise to respect the will of Iowa voters? pic.twitter.com/1H3LAz7tlG

"Congress does not decide elections, the American people do. Some people are trying to downplay Speaker Pelosi’s attempt to overturn Congresswoman Miller-Meeks’s victory in Iowa’s Second Congressional District. They’re saying, “she’s already seated Congresswoman Miller-Meeks, this is no big deal.”
"Do not be fooled here. The same day Speaker Pelosi said she would seat Dr. Miller-Meeks, her team made it clear it was provisional. That means it was temporary.
"Speaker Pelosi should go on the record today and make clear to Iowans that the House will not intervene in this election in the Second District, especially since Rita Hart chose not to go through the Iowa Court system. There is a reason she asked Speaker Pelosi to be the judge of this case.
"Whether it’s a Republican or a Democrat seat, one thing remains the same — voters decide their representatives, Congress does not. It must stay that way.
