Hinson Holds IRS Commissioner Accountable for Telework Impacting Customer Service

May 8, 2024

Washington, D.C. - During the House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee hearing, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) pressed Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Commissioner Danny Werfel on IRS employees working from home while providing subpar customer service to Iowans. Watch her line of questioning here.

"It is unacceptable that IRS employees are "working from home" while Iowans' needs are put on the back burner. Every single IRS employee should be in the office providing the best possible customer service to Iowans whose taxpayer dollars pay their salary. I will continue holding the Administration accountable for allowing bureaucrats to do the bare minimum while hardworking taxpayers struggle." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
