Hinson Statement on EPA's RVO Levels Announcement

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's announced Renewable Volume Obligation levels for 2023-2025.

"It is imperative that we continue to utilize Iowa biofuels to enhance energy security, reduce emissions, and lower costs for consumers at the pump. While I’m encouraged by the EPA’s proposed volume levels for ethanol, the proposed rule is a step in the wrong direction for advanced biofuels like biodiesel and renewable diesel. Advanced biofuel production is critical to rural communities across Iowa and should continue to be a prominent component of America’s energy strategy. The Administration must continue to receive input from the Iowa biofuels community on this proposed rule.” - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
