Hinson Statement on Inclusion of Her CPF Requests in Ag-FDA Appropriations Bill

June 28, 2021

Washington, D.C. – Today, the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies (Ag-FDA) released the Fiscal Year 2022 Appropriations bill for the subcommittee. The Ag-FDA Subcommittee bill included Congresswoman Hinson's Community Project Funding (CPF) requests for Iowa's First Congressional District, specifically for rural development. Both of the two CPF requests she submitted for this subcommittee were written into the bill.

"I am pleased that these two funding requests were included in the Ag-FDA Subcommittee funding bill released today. I want to see taxpayer dollars reinvested in Iowa," said Congresswoman Ashley Hinson. "I will continue fighting to bring resources back to our district and standing against wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars."

Hinson's CPF requests included in the Ag-FDA subcommittee bill:

WINNESHIEK COUNTY

Project Name: Sunflower Child Development and Discovery Center

Amount: $200,000

HOWARD COUNTY

Project Name: Protivin Community Fire District

Amount: $100,000

More details on these requests can be found here. Hinson will release additional information about remaining CPF requests as the rest of the House Appropriations Subcommittees meet and release the text of their funding bills.
