Hinson Statement on U.S. Economy Entering Recession

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement on the U.S. economy officially entering a recession after shrinking 0.9% in the second quarter of 2022.

"Iowans are suffering under President Biden's and Speaker Pelosi's economic and energy policies that have now officially dragged the U.S. into a recession. This should serve as a wake-up call to Democrats in Washington: we have to stop overspending and sidelining domestic energy production now. Iowans deserve commonsense leaders who will focus on solving the real problems families are facing instead of pursuing a radical agenda with zero regard for the disastrous consequences."  - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
