Hinson Supports Legislation to Keep Government Open, Continue Work on Conservative Spending Legislation

Washington, DC - Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) released the following statement after voting for legislation to keep the government open. 

“I supported today's short-term funding measure to keep the government open, enact key border security measures, and establish a bipartisan commission on our mounting debt. As the House continues our work to pass single-subject spending bills, we can and should keep the government open so troops and law enforcement are paid, border security operations continue, and essential services for our veterans and seniors are not interrupted. This is not a game. Taxpayers should not bear the consequences of Washington's chaos and dysfunction.
