Hinson Taking Bipartisan Action to Support Israel, Thwart Terrorist Threats
WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) is working across the aisle to support Israel, bring Americans home, and thwart terrorist threats to the United States and our allies.
"The horrific scenes out of Israel are stomach churning. Hamas terrorists -- backed by Iran -- have brutally slaughtered innocent civilians, killed entire families, and beheaded babies. At least 27 Americans have been murdered and more are being held hostage right now. This is unspeakable savagery, and Israel has every right to defend itself and its people.

Hinson has taken several actions in Congress to support Israel and its right to defend itself and its people:
- Sponsored a bipartisan resolution to show U.S. support for Israel, condemn the horrific terrorist attacks carried out by Hamas, and reaffirm Israel's right to defend itself and its people.
- Sent a bipartisan letter to the Biden Administration demanding they freeze their $6 billion payment funds to Iran and fully enforce sanctions to prevent further terrorism.
- Sponsored legislation to freeze the Biden Administration's $6 billion payment to Iran immediately.
- Sponsored legislation to urge the Biden Administration to demand the release of hostages being held in Gaza.
- Sent a letter calling on the State Department to empower the Department of Defense to evacuate Americans from Israel and, if needed, arrange charter flights to bring Americans home safely.
