Hinson Votes Against Raising Debt Limit

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) released the following statement after voting against raising the debt limit by $2.5 trillion.

"I voted against raising the debt limit. The U.S. should not default on our debts, but Congress cannot continue recklessly spending like there is no tomorrow. Congress needs to start budgeting like families in Iowa do. There needs to be some accountability in Washington for overspending your hard-earned money.”  -Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
