Hinson Votes to Reverse Biden LNG Export Ban

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) released the following statement following her vote in support of the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2024, legislation that would immediately reverse Biden's de factor ban on American LNG exports. 

"In yet another election year ploy to appease radical climate activists, President Biden instituted a de facto ban on American LNG exports. As China, Iran, and Russia work to consolidate the lion share of energy production amongst themselves, this shortsighted move plays right into the hands of our adversaries. Our bill will reverse this ban, protect American energy jobs, provide domestic energy stability, and ensure America can continue exporting clean LNG globally." - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson
