ICYMI: Hinson Leads Push to Get Baby Formula Back on the Shelves, Prevent Future Shortage
Washington, D.C. - After hearing from Iowa families who are struggling to find baby formula, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) is leading a push to fix supply chain disruptions to get baby formula back on the shelves. Yesterday, Hinson and House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (NY-21) sent a letter to the Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding the nationwide baby formula shortage, calling on the agency to provide a plan to address this issue and prevent future shortages.
Hinson and Stefanik, both mothers, joined Fox & Friends to discuss their joint effort to restock baby formula nationwide.
On Fox & Friends, Rep. Hinson discussed the panic parents are feeling when they see bare shelves at the store, and how this shortage has disproportionately impacted rural Iowans.

"Two top Republican lawmakers, who are also mothers, are demanding the Biden administration's Food and Drug Administration (FDA) take swift steps to address the nationwide shortage of baby formula, saying the panic that families are currently feeling is "unacceptable."
House Republican Conference Chair Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., and Rep. Ashley Hinson, R-Iowa, sent a letter to FDA Commissioner Robert Califf Tuesday, asking for answers on how the administration plans to solve the formula shortage.
