Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-01) attended the groundbreaking of the new Protivin firehouse alongside community leaders and volunteer firefighters who were instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. Hinson secured federal funding to help complete the expansion.

"I want to thank all of the volunteer firefighters who serve here and put their lives on the line to protect this community, and who led this effort," Rep. Hinson said at the groundbreaking ceremony. "We wouldn’t be here today without your dedication and commitment. You are truly heroes. And it was my honor to work with all of you to secure the federal funding necessary support this firehouse. The entire community rallied behind this project, and it was an effort I was proud to support."
