On the Administration's economic policies propping up China: "President Biden's economic policies are taking this country in the wrong direction, we started sounding the alarm on the spending spigot that has been turned on months ago. And it's very clear that the policies are benefitting countries like Communist China over the American worker. And I think the best weapon we have is to revitalize our economy, get our economy going with those economic policies, not giving that hand up to a country like China. China has been very clear about their intentions to take on America, take our intellectual property, and take over our debt."
On the government incentivizing unemployment: "We're paying people to continue to stay at home. In Iowa, obviously, those benefits go away tomorrow. Our employers are ready and waiting with those "Help Wanted" signs at their doors. We need to give our economy the shot in the arm that it needs to recover, not continue to give that hand up to countries like China. Speaker Pelosi and the Democrats in Congress continue to talk about these huge price tags, and that's only going to exacerbate the problem. We need to get people back to work so that the price of goods and services can stabilize in this country. But again, we are clearly seeing that the Administration is not listening to the heartland, the farmers of America. Those kitchen table conversations are clearly not resonating in those backroom conversations in the White House."
On Iowa leading the way: "I say do it like we've done it in Iowa. We've opened up, we've led the way. We are the number one state in terms of recovering from this pandemic. And it's for a reason. People are back to work. People are getting back to normal. We've got shots in arms. And that's exactly what we needed to do. And that's exactly what this country needs to do, not give that upper hand to countries like Communist China."
