Statement from Office of Congresswoman Hinson on Continuing Resolution, House Votes

December 15, 2022

Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Hinson's (IA-01) office released the following information on House votes today. Hinson's statement on the Continuing Resolution, as well as information on how she would have voted on other legislation brought to the Floor today is below.

Hinson does not support the Continuing Resolution, stating, "Iowans and Americans rejected the Washington way of reckless spending and disrespecting taxpayers. Instead of a week-long Continuing Resolution, we should have funded the government through the beginning of next year so that a Republican House -- not a lame-duck Democratic majority -- could advance legislation that spends responsibly, includes resources for border security, and reflects the priorities of the American people."

Here is how Rep. Hinson would have voted on the other legislation brought to the Floor today:

S. 4003, the Law Enforcement De-Escalation Training Act: No
S. 3905, the Preventing Organizational Conflicts of Interest in Federal Acquisition Act: No
House Amendment to the Senate Amendment to H.R. 1437 (Continuing Resolution): No
