Washington, D.C. – Yesterday, Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) led her colleagues in calling out the Biden Administration's continued failure to secure our Southern Border as well as their woke, misplaced priorities following recent meetings with Mexican officials.

In the Administration's latest Friday night news dump, we found out there were 250,000 illegal immigrant encounters at the Southern Border in December. That includes 17 people on the terror watchlist. And there were 10 sex offenders apprehended in the Del Rio sector this month alone," said Rep. Hinson during the press conference. "Earlier this month, President Biden met with the President of Mexico – an opportunity to finally reverse course and address this humanitarian and security crisis. But what commitments did they publish following the meetings? Topping the list was diversity, equity, and inclusion. Climate change. And integrating gender perspectives into disaster response. Americans and Iowans have no patience for these woke priorities while fentanyl is poisoning American children and terrorists and sex offenders are coming into our communities."
