Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) helped introduced the More Opportunities for Moms to Succeed (MOMS) Act alongside Rep. Michelle Fischbach (MN-07). The legislation provides critical support to new moms during and after their pregnancy to empower women to choose life and raise happy, healthy babies. 

Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) released the following statement on the 2nd anniversary of Roe v. Wade being overturned. 

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) will hold town hall meeting in Winneshiek and Fayette counties on Friday, June 21st. The town hall meetings are open to the public and press. 

Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) co-sponsored the No American Land for Communist China Act. The legislation, led by Representative Dan Newhouse (WA-04) will prohibit members of the CCP or any CCP-backed entity from purchasing any American land near federal U.S. land. This protects our military installations, national labs, and land with critical resources from being purchased by our greatest adversary.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) announced the winner of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for Iowa’s Second District, Victoria Humiston. Victoria is a senior at Vinton-Shellsburg High in Vinton, IA. Her winning piece, One Acre, will hang in the U.S. Capitol.
