Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) released the following statement following Senate passage of her bipartisan, bicameral Maternal and Child Health Stillbirth Prevention Act. This legislation amends Title V, the Maternal and Child Health Services Block Grant of the Social Security Act, to clarify that stillbirth prevention activities and research are an allowable use of funds. This clarification will support stillbirth prevention activities, saving the lives of mothers and babies.

Congresswoman Hinson (IA-02) announced that following her advocacy, the City of Dubuque will receive a $1.5 million Small Community Air Service Development Program grant. In May of 2023, Hinson wrote a letter of support to Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, advocating for this grant funding. The grant is funded by FY22 appropriations legislation that Hinson supported.

The package includes bills to move agency headquarters out of Washington, D.C., enact federal lobbying bans, eliminate burdensome government regulations, and force bureaucrats back into the office. Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) introduced companion legislation in the Senate.
