Column for Publication: President Biden’s regulatory regime is a nightmare for hardworking Iowans. In just one year, President Biden’s Administration added over $200 billion in new regulatory costs through their heavy-handed rulemaking, and his excessive executive orders have cost taxpayers more than $1 trillion. This overregulation is pulling down our economy and fueling the inflation that is crushing everyone from seniors on fixed incomes to parents trying to feed their kids.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (IA-02) helped reintroduce the Parents Bill of Rights Act. This legislation reaffirms parents' rights to be informed, empowered, and involved in all aspects of their childrens' education.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Representatives Elise Stefanik (R-NY-21), Rick Crawford (R-AR-01), Mike Flood (R-NE-01), and Mark Pocan (D-WI-02) in sending a letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), requesting information on their failures to conduct proper oversight of the foreign acquisition of U.S. agricultural land. The right to keep and bear arms is enshrined in our Constitution; it is our inherent guarantee that the government will never overpower its citizens. However, the Biden Administration and many on the left continue to twist and undermine the Second Amendment – they want citizens to prove to their government that they should be allowed to exercise their Constitutional rights and liberties. 

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Representatives Troy Balderson (R-OH-12), Susie Lee (D-NV-03), and Joe Neguse (D-CO-02) to introduce the Knowing the Efficiency and Efficacy of Permanent (KEEP) Telehealth Options Act, bipartisan legislation that will help expand telehealth services to Americans.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) and Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI-08) introduced the Promoting Programming, Research, Education and Preservation in (PREP) Civics and Government Act to expand the scope of the National Endowment for the Humanities’ (NEH) work to include the study of civics and government. The bill aims to increase students’ access to civics and government education and resources.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) co-sponsored the TCJA (Tax Cuts and Jobs Act) Permanency Act to make key tax cuts enacted in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act permanent for individuals and small businesses.
