In the southeastern province of Fujian, a farmer described having his daffodil fields bulldozed. Reportedly, it’s all part of a new directive from the Chinese Communist Party to reclaim arable land, roll back reforestation initiatives, and rapidly increase grain production to achieve "food security."

​​​​​​​American farmers and ranchers are under attack by radical animal rights activists backed by wealthy liberals. If it were up to them, you would never see another piece of meat on your dinner plate ever again. Not only are our farmers and ranchers under attack, but so are the conservative principles of free trade, limited government, personal liberty, and states’ rights. We look no further than the blue state of California and its laws like Proposition 12 that demand farmers and ranchers across the country bend their knees to their California pork regulations before accessing their market.

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI-08) at the Cato Institute for a discussion on their bipartisan Prep Civics and Government Act, legislation that promotes efforts to increase civics education to help the next generation understand our nation’s history, the significance of our institutions, and encourage them to participate in democracy.
