A strange trend is sweeping across China. Outside Chengdu, an urban park next to a golf course and luxury villa now sports a sign "Return to Agricultural Use." In the southeastern province of Fujian, a farmer described having his daffodil fields bulldozed. Reportedly, it’s all part of a new directive from the Chinese Communist Party to reclaim arable land, roll back reforestation initiatives, and rapidly increase grain production to achieve "food security."

The pro-life movement was never solely about ending abortion, it has always been about valuing life at every stage. When Roe v. Wade was rightfully overturned last year, the next chapter of the pro-life movement began and we were all given the opportunity to strengthen our support for unborn babies and new families.

​​​​​​​American farmers and ranchers are under attack by radical animal rights activists backed by wealthy liberals. If it were up to them, you would never see another piece of meat on your dinner plate ever again. Not only are our farmers and ranchers under attack, but so are the conservative principles of free trade, limited government, personal liberty, and states’ rights. We look no further than the blue state of California and its laws like Proposition 12 that demand farmers and ranchers across the country bend their knees to their California pork regulations before accessing their market.

Congresswomen Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) wrote a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on risks posed by telecommunications and video surveillance equipment produced by the People's Republic of China (PRC) or entities owned by the PRC in federal buildings, leaving sensitive information susceptible to cyber threats and hacking.  

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI-08) at the Cato Institute for a discussion on their bipartisan Prep Civics and Government Act, legislation that promotes efforts to increase civics education to help the next generation understand our nation’s history, the significance of our institutions, and encourage them to participate in democracy. Several Iowa educators were in attendance and participated in the conversation about civic engagement and civil discourse. An excerpt of Hinson's prepared remarks are below.
