​​​​​​​American farmers and ranchers are under attack by radical animal rights activists backed by wealthy liberals. If it were up to them, you would never see another piece of meat on your dinner plate ever again. Not only are our farmers and ranchers under attack, but so are the conservative principles of free trade, limited government, personal liberty, and states’ rights. We look no further than the blue state of California and its laws like Proposition 12 that demand farmers and ranchers across the country bend their knees to their California pork regulations before accessing their market.

Congresswomen Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) wrote a letter to the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) on risks posed by telecommunications and video surveillance equipment produced by the People's Republic of China (PRC) or entities owned by the PRC in federal buildings, leaving sensitive information susceptible to cyber threats and hacking.  

Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) joined Congressman Dan Kildee (D-MI-08) at the Cato Institute for a discussion on their bipartisan Prep Civics and Government Act, legislation that promotes efforts to increase civics education to help the next generation understand our nation’s history, the significance of our institutions, and encourage them to participate in democracy. Congresswoman Ashley Hinson (R-IA-02) secured a provision in the House Appropriations Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development bill to ensure Dubuque, having recently lost commercial airline service, is prioritized for federal grants under the Small Community Air Service Development Program. This legislation passed the House Appropriations Committee today and is awaiting consideration by the full U.S. House of Representatives.
