Last year, I visited Israel with a bipartisan group of lawmakers. I met wonderful Israelis, including at Kibbutz Kfar Aza, which was savaged by Hamas on Oct. 7, and was struck by how they lived under constant fear of attack each day. That constant dread became reality earlier this year, when Hamas launched its brutal terrorist attacks against Israel.

This package is comprised of three bills that identify and address workforce gaps to help connect Iowans with career advancement opportunities, particularly in skilled trades, and provide pathways to continued success for workers without college degrees.

Last year, nearly 1.5 million children were born to single mothers. Many of these mothers cover costly medical expenses throughout the course of pregnancy, without support from their child’s biological father. Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) introduced the bicameral Supporting Healthy Pregnancy Act, a pro-life bill to ensure biological fathers are equally involved in supporting a healthy pregnancy and delivery.
